Prerequisites

Ayurvedic students and professionals are welcome. 

An existing knowledge of the following concepts is required: 
DoshasSubdoshasDhatusMalas and Agnis (equivalent to our Principles of Ayurveda course available for purchase in our Prerequisite Bundle).

  • This program is designed to support Ayurvedic students and professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of assessment methodologies.
  • You can use these techniques during 1-on-1 consultations to assess your clients.
  • Some assessment techniques are emphasized at different scopes of practice. We’ll answer your questions during the training to guide you on how to apply your knowledge as an Ayurvedic professional.
  • If you are new to Ayurveda, you’re welcome to join the program for general knowledge, so long as you complete the prerequisites listed above.

Curriculum Overview
It’s our mission to preserve the traditional teachings of Ayurveda. This course includes assessment techniques as shared in classical Ayurvedic texts, offering an authentic education in the traditional Vedic system of knowledge.
Ayurvedic Assessment Methodologies
Ayurvedic Assessment Methodologies

Learn the traditional methods as documented in the ancient texts for assessing Constitution (Prakriti) and Disease (Vikriti), as well as how to differentiate between the two.

Methods include: Three Step Assessment (Trividha Pareeksha), Eight Step Examination (Ashtavidha Pareeksha), Ten Step Assessment (Dasavidha Pareeksha).

Pulse Diagnosis
Pulse Diagnosis

You’ll explore the various layers of the pulse, methods for evaluating Prakritiand Vikriti, as well as hands-on, practical assessment of live cases.

Tongue Diagnosis
Tongue Diagnosis

Learn the art of tongue assessment for assessing various systems disorders, understanding disease conditions based on the tongue's appearance. You can practice your tongue assessment skills with live cases.

Additional assessment points are covered including: Eye (Netra), Skin (Twak), Nail (Nakha), Hair (Kesa), Stool (Mala), Urine (Mutra), Voice (Sabda), and Structure (Akriti).
